The Steering Committe of the Phagistry is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the registry, including the data collected, data analysis, and preparation of reports and publications. It is also responsible for communicating with Phagistry members, researchers, and the wider community.
We are currently in the process of filling the first Steering Committe of the Phagistry so check back to see some familiar - and new - faces!

Chairman
Shawna McCallin
Group leader of the Phage Therapy and Research Group at the Balgrist University Hospital, University of Zürich, Switzerland. Organizing treatments and clinical trials with phage therapy for the treatment of urinary tract infections (UTIs). Member of the executive board of the ESCMID study group for Non-Traditional Antibacterial Therapy (ESGNTA).

Secretary
Annika Classen
A physician specializing in the field of infectious diseases since 2017. After joining the phage collection of the Leibniz Institute DSMZ Braunschweig (Germany) from 2021-2022 as a postdoc, she is now establishing a phage laboratory at the University of Cologne with a focus on ESKAPE pathogens.

Alexia Charles
Graduated with a doctorate from the Division of Public Health Epidemiology of the University of Liège. Current scientific collaborator for the management of data and samples for the Clinical Observational Studies unit of Sciensano, the Federal Scientific Institute of Public Health (Belgium). Administrator of Sciensano's REDCap.

Clinical Chair
Gina Suh
An Infectious Diseases specialist with an interest in musculoskeletal infections and other biofilm-mediated infections. Founder and director of the Mayo Clinic Phage Therapy and Lysins Program (MC-PHLY) and has treated patients with phage therapy for various indications including prosthetic joint infection, cardiac-device infection, vascular graft infection, and respiratory infection.

Phage Chair
Jean-Paul Pirnay
Head of the Laboratory for Molecular and Cellular Technology (LabMCT) of the Queen Astrid Military hospital in Brussels since 2005, which includes a phage research laboratory and a cleanroom production facility for phage
preparations. Contributed to the development of a dedicated framework for personalized phage therapy in Belgium.
Scientific Advisory Board
The Scientific Advisory Board of the Phagistry combines expertise in different clinical areas with microbiology and phage and oversees various aspects of the Phagistry.
